No evidence for permission, no evidence that the music is public domain. Pieter Kuiper (talk) 21:34, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ok, sorry, but I just speedied the last two. DR or not there is no reason to let such blatant copyvios (and out of scope crap) remain on commons for one more second. --Dschwen (talk) 22:37, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • If it helps, the first bit of music in the first one is "Va, pensiero", from Verdi's Nabucco. However, given your spotting the others as having copyrighted versions of the public domain compositions, I don't see any reason to presume it's not a copyrighted recording.
This is probably a stupid question, but you DID check it was Amadeus' recording of the Dies Irae, right? You did know Amadeus' soundtrack consists mainly of music by Mozart (with a little Salieri, and so on)? Adam Cuerden (talk) 02:54, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The Morwen video consisted of footage from the Amadeus movie. That was really a terrible copyvio that had been hanging here since October. Very good that it was deleted immediately now. But Commons needs a system for checking content of video uploads at a glance. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 06:29, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
