- Why is there a deletion request for this file? (I created this graphic on my own, it is my own work. It was created in Adobe Illustrator. - Hi Beinahegut: Please see Commons:Project scope#PDF and DjVu formats. Is it possible to create in Illustrator and export as a non-pdf file type? And also remove watermark in lower left corner which says (C)? Thanks ! Ellin Beltz (talk) 18:13, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
- This doesn't seem to be a proper deletion request; it appears to be a request to provide it in an another format. PS: Please see also w:en:Talk:Solar System#comprehensive graphic for some additional requests to improve the image. Also, is there a way to make it show the full-size image at the File:Solar-System.pdf page? - I will update the current version today. You can just tap on the image - on its page - and there will be a full size view of it (you can also zoom in there). About the format: I know PDF is not the ideal fromat for safety, and so on ... But PDF is the most userfriendliest format. If you download it everyone can open it. SVG would be another good (and better) format. But not every one can open, right? - Hi Beinahegut: Please see Commons:Project scope#PDF and DjVu formats. While we all have opinions on "best" file formats - the project has specific rules about illustrations. Please have your image fall within the scope of that guideline. I would still like to know the source/s of the information which is used in the graphic, per my original request. Do you want me to upload this file in a SVG format? Would be no problem.
(But I would say the good thing about the PDF format is that users can download and print it. And for this use a PDF format is allowable.)
About the source: I made this graphic with the information from the german "Solar System" page on Wikipedia ("Sonnensystem"): https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonnensystem On this page I used only Wikipedia-links to other Wikipedia-pages, including all planets, the sun, dwarf planets, the Asteroid belt, the Kuiper belt, the asteroids, etc.
I used basic information, nothing what you can't find at other sources like NASA, ... No ones own ideas or so, just physical facts.--Beinahegut (talk) 15:56, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
