Photograph of a copyrighted object (faithful, commercial replica of a recent film prop) Fram (talk) 10:52, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

1. Request the 19 nominations started by Fram be consolidated into one, since the same questions apply to all.
2. Fram is exporting his animosity against me from the English Wikipedia onto Commons. I recommend vigilance against targeted, coordinated cross-wiki activity.
3. On the substance: these are film props, of which we have entire categories (Category:Film props)

No objection against any consolidation. What kind of vigilance do you suggest against a one-person "coordinated" cross-wiki activity? More unfounded conspiracy theories? Anyway, I ported this cross-wiki because you were inserting these images into enwiki, and introducing copyvio images into enwiki is not allowed. When I noticed that it wasn't a fair use image, but a commons image, I nominated them here. On the substance; perhaps you can point to some policies about these, instead of "but we have more of the same"? A good rule of thumb (which I shouldn't have to explain to an admin here) is "would I be allowed to put this image on posters, put my name on it, and sell it?" If not, it is usually not commons material. Do you really believe that the people who created these artefacts (the original or the licensed reproductions) would just roll over and accept that you have the copyright to these images?
Please check Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter. Unless you claim that e.g. this Sauron helmet is a "utility object", it clearly falls under the category "models", which are not copyright-free. Fram (talk) 14:12, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
In Fram's own admission, this is wikistalking, harassment and POINTy. Fram is involved in an Arbcom against me on the English-speaking Wikipedia, where he supports the repeated deletion of the biography of an Africa-American woman would participated in an notable scientific discovery. At the very least he should refrain from wiki-stalking me, and recuse himself from administrative matters involving me given the context. Rama. (talk) 14:33, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
A. I have not "admitted" to anything, please read what I actually wrote.
B. I do not "disrupt Commons to make a point", your file uploads are copyright violations. I have thus nominated them for deletion. What Commons wants to do with an admin who does this kind of thing and reacts to it with all kinds of ad hominem arguments and no actual policy-based reasons to defend his uploads is their choice, and not a discussion I will normally participate in unless I would be asked specific questions.
C. Please indicate where I have "supported the deletion etc.". I have moved the page to draft instead of redeleting it G4, I have not participated in any of the AfDs or the DRV, I have not made arguments about the merit of the article.
D. I have not taken any administrative actions wrt you, and have no administrative powers on Commons anyway, so your request is rather silly.
So, any actual arguments why these helmets, swords, ... are not copyrighted models, which would mean that the images need to be deleted here? Fram (talk) 14:50, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, this goes to Commons:Administrators' noticeboard. Rama (talk) 15:27, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
