Commons:Deletion requests/File:Purchase decision model.jpg
@Ellin Beltz: You tagged this with {{No source since}}. The uploader has reiterated that it is their own work. I see no obvious reason to doubt that, so I've started this discussion and will remove the tag. Jmabel ! talk 02:21, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- Keep. I turned this from {{No source since}} to {{Delete}} so as not to blindside Ellin, but I think this image is perfectly fine. - Jmabel ! talk 02:24, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- And I suspect that similarly File:Hierarchy of effects.jpg should be undeleted. The fact that a diagram cites a source does not mean that it is plagiarized from that source: no more so than an article citing a source. - Jmabel ! talk 02:59, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- Similarly for File:Dick and basus loyalty matrix.jpg. In that case, the arrangement of the diagram looks to me to be in any case too simple to be eligible for copyright. - Jmabel ! talk 03:03, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

I created this image using Word and Photoshop. The factual content of the image comes from the Wikipedia page where it is intended to be displayed. I took the headings from the discussion of the purchase decision, organised them into logical categories and then attempted to illustrate how they were inter-related. The concepts used in the image are well-known and appear very widely in basic, introductory text books. However, the image is original because it presents the concepts in diagrammatic form and organises them in novel ways. In some 40 years of work as a professional marketer and educator, I have not seen this particular diagram appear in any published work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BronHiggs (talk • contribs) 03:01, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

- The "reiteration" occurred after I went to sleep last night, this is the first time I have had to review. The files appeared to have been copied from books. We get a lot of files that say "book title, author, date" and are actually copies, even though they are also labeled own work. There was no way to know any differently on this set. As for "created the image" that could mean "took a photograph of it from a book". Without more information it was impossible to tell. Thank you for the clarity. - @Ellin Beltz: So at this point, do you have any problem with Commons keeping this, and restoring the two others I mentioned above? - Jmabel ! talk 22:33, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
Kept: Per explanation. Jmabel, as for the other two, I think they need an UnDR. Your explanaton is reasonable, but equally they could have been scanned out of the cited book We need BronHiggs to say which it is. . Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 10:23, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
Comment clearly intended for Commons:Deletion requests/File:Hierarchy of effects.jpg moved there. - Jmabel ! talk 01:39, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
