Moved from speedy. Jules Verne's work is in the public domain. We should be able to keep this, aren't we? Yann (talk) 07:20, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
- This image was originally created by Jules Férat (who died in the 19th century), see File:Ile Mysterieuse 03.jpg. However, this is an English version and I'm not sure if this adaptation is completely free. Mathonius (talk) 08:40, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
- Is the (original) drawing itself by Jules Verne (or a contemporary)? --Túrelio (talk) 08:50, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
- Yes. The (original) drawing itself is by Jules Férat, a contemporary of Jules Verne. Mathonius (talk) 08:58, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
Deleted: A derivative work, but not a true reproduction, of the original by Jules Férat. Coloration and translation suggest a modern derivative. Therefore copyrigth status unclear. Lymantria (talk) 16:16, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
