Photograph of a Balmy Alley mural which is copyrighted. These artworks were change almost annually and dates from the 2000, 2010s and 2020s.

Per the copyright policy on the Balmy Alley website: “Please remember that murals are copyrighted works of art. Photographs are for your personal enjoyment only. Any photos OR video taken of copyrighted murals for the purpose of reproduction (including t-shirts, album covers, web sites, guide books, the background for music videos or commercials, etc) can only be used with written permission from the muralist(s). “

Without permission directly from the artist, we cannot host this on Commons per COM:FOP US.

By the way: Just because this was photographed by Carol Highsmith and published by the Library of Congress DOES NOT make this artwork public domain or freely licensed.
