While the author is Argentinian, the book was published in UK, so UK is the source contry. The author died in 1956, so I do not think thet copyright of this book has already expired in UK. Moreover, I do not see any reason that the copyright has expired before 1996, so this book is copyrighted in US also. IMO, the copyright status of this book in Argentina is irrelevant here.
