Author/creator/uploader (that is, me) of the image would like it deleted. Sja974 (talk) 04:11, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File:Mark busking 12.jpg

Having read the "deletion debate", I disagree. Yes it is a public place, but this file was uploaded without the permission of the person depicted in the photo. This photo is not used in any articles, and I would like it to be removed. If the 'Personality rights' issue needs to be addressed - the assumption in the photo being on here is that the person in the photo has approved it, which is incorrect, and misleading. •  Keep We do not generally delete images at the request of the uploader or the subject. Since it is obvious this image is taken outdoors on a street, anyone who assumes that the subject has consented is making a false assumption. The subject is a notable musician, see the WP:EN article on him. This is the only image we have of him with a guitar.
I also think that Sja974 is being disingenuous about consent. He or she has uploaded three different images of the subject taken in two very different places and has been a significant contributor to the WP:EN article. It is clear that there is some sort of relationship between Sja974 and the subject, so it is likely this image was deliberately posed. .     Jim . . . . (Edit conflict)

  •  Keep
  • That’s not what personality rights mean.
  • There is no assumption of privacy in a publicly held event.
  • Not being used in an Wikimedia project is no argument to delete a file on the grounds you request.
  • A release under CC-by-sa is a binding contract and is not revokable.
  • A courtesy undeletion in Commons should not be granted on a whim.
