No FoP in France. Architect Le Corbusier died in 1965 A1Cafel (talk) 03:07, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Comment True, but I don't see any protected architecture in this picture. Could be any house front. The artistic part is the sky that mirrors in the windows, but that's not copyrighted by the architect, but by the photographer of the image. --PaterMcFly (talk) 06:39, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete In this case, I disagree with PaterMcFly. That facade might seem unremarkable to our eyes, accustomed to modern architecture, but when the Villa La Roche was built in 1923-1925, it was a pioneering work; as French Wikipedia puts it, "un exemple prestigieux d'architecture moderne en France, dans lequel on trouve pour la première fois l'expression architecturale des cinq points pour une architecture nouvelle" (Google translation: a prestigious example of modern architecture in France, in which we find for the first time the architectural expression of the five points for a new architecture.) So, this simple, modern facade is an example for a new style of architecture and widely regarded as artistically important. I'm not deleting this picture myself, as I see that there are more in Category:Maison La Roche which IMO need to be deleted, and for which I'm going to file a deletion request now, so I think another admin should deal with this.
