Freedom of panorama in Saudi Arabia is not okay. Canopus Grandiflora 22:45, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. As Commons:Copyright rules by territory#Saudi Arabia says, "protection period for applied art (handcrafted or manufactured) and photographs shall be twenty five years of the date of publication". Applied art objects can be 3D as well as 2D; architecture itself is an applied art. [1] Since the building is over 25 years old, the length of time for which copyright protection obtains for an applied art object in Saudi Arabia, it is no longer under copyright. This particular building was built in 1978-81 [2]. Copyright in its visual appearance therefore expired in 2006 at the latest, under Saudi law. Prioryman (talk) 00:00, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks to @Prioryman for the explanation. Actually, I do not know the law regarding photo of panorama in Saudi Arabia. My purpose is to providing some illustrations of articles at WPID, or other WP that needed them. Regards, Wie146 (talk) 03:28, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
