Not enough info about author's birth and death dates to verify PD status. -- Martina Nolte (talk) 11:37, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Keep Author of these books is de:Marie Nathusius who died in 1857. Even if she didn't create the illustrations, whoever did was certainly born more than 160 years ago. Wknight94 talk 12:57, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  •  CommentMarie Nathusius is not the author of these illustrations. The Author is named in the description: Enrico Buffetti. As the book has been published about 1900 there is no evidence, that the illustratur should have died in the next 30 years (so that he would now be dead since more than 70 years). --Martina Nolte (talk) 16:29, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted. The only thing known about Enrico Buffetti is that he was active in 1900, so I've added "Undelete in 2040" cat (rough estimate). Trycatch (talk) 03:58, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've kept two other pictures, clearly those picture have been created not by Buffetti, but by Peter Schnorr (1862-1912) -- take a look at the signatures. I think it was a clear mistake, but feel free to reopen the DR if you disagree. Trycatch (talk) 04:12, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Yes, the credit of these two must have been an accident. Martin H. mentioned P. Schnorr as creator of some of them, but I couldn't find more informations on him. Do we have a collection of research databases? --Martina Nolte (talk) 13:40, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How did you find out his first name? And could you please check these deleted images, on which of them Martin found P. Schnorr signed on?
I'd like to open such a research starting site. Wistula gave i.e. one for German illustrators. I'll look for the right place to bring that to topic. End of OT here, sorry. --Martina Nolte (talk) 21:53, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I didn't notice your response. I didn't find anything, the first name of Schnorr was already found by Wistula. What about deleted pictures, I think pictures signed by Schnorr were not deleted, but many deleted pictures don't have a signature at all, and there can be cases of misidentification as well. Ah, there... The rest of my post was cleared: I asked Martin in the meanwhile (and then struck that part): He had meant the above ones but put his note on Wistula's talk page into the wrong section, he says. A bit tricky all that... We can close that here. --Martina Nolte (talk) 19:21, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
