Commons:Deletion requests/File:Igor Kapišinský.jpg (2)
Previous DR was closed with resolution "keep" with incorrect arguments and against the consensus. I am trying to explain it to closing administrator on his discussion page (where you can see the arguments), but he refuses to change his decision. So this deletion request is an appeal according to COM:DR#Appeal.
Please, consider, that file has very poor quality, uploader/author and pictured person wants to delete it (nonrepresentative, maybe ridiculous appearance) and there are three alternative files, so we don't need such photo. It is better to project to be kind, delete it and don't break possible future cooperation. --Beren (talk) 12:35, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete I note that the image is no longer in use, and that we now have higher quality images- both of my previous keep reasons are no longer pertinent. If both the uploader and subject wish it to be deleted, deletion seems sensible. J Milburn (talk) 12:53, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- DeleteAs before, really poor quality, useless. --Daniel Baránek (talk) 12:55, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Comment - Please note that the closure was correct because the argument for keep are stronger than the argument for delete, the image was in use so the closure as kept was correct and as the communety wanted. I have no problems with the deletion of this file because it isn't in use anymore, but I would like to ask the nominator to remain calm the next time, when people are coming to my talkpage with you closed it wrong , i want proof that it was in use and you are acting against the policy or things like that will not make me change my decission faster, if we would have had a normal conversation the file would have been deleted already. - I was very kind at start of discussion, I supposed, that everyone can do mistake. But the discussion was very long and you was unable to acknowledge any mistakes. You only feed me with more and more arguments, most of them was incorrect and showing only your unfamiliarity with closed discussion. And one more thing. Please choose only one position. You cannot claim both "the closure was correct" and "if we would have had a normal conversation the file would have been deleted already". It must be said, that decisions should come from arguments and not from sympathy or antipathy of administrator. As an administrator, you should not take critique personally. --Beren (talk) 14:02, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Please, consider also, that my English is not so good as your English. When I simply describe "Your decision is wrong", it is normal from my point of view, I am simply unable to find much more polite sentences. It is a pity, if it is only reason of your refusal to change decision. --Beren (talk) 14:35, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete Mr. Kapisinsky told me, that he disagree with publishing such photo, and I simply don't want to cause him any harm. I replaced the picture by another ones with better quality, on which he does not look ridiculous, to help solve the problem, to show my good will. I request to delete this one, please. --Miloš (talk) 13:46, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as i said before - poor quality (there are other photos), agree with Beren --Ra1n (talk) 14:06, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete there are better pictures available. I don't see any reason to store such low quality photos. Place on servers could be used in better way.--Pelex (talk) 14:34, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Comment I'd like to remind,if the file was used at the moment of closure act, there was a reason to revise decission without this second request. When sysop was noticed that is not true anymore. Simple, no need for long opinion poll at sysop's talk. It could be solved faster, just to be kind to project scope - to have uploaders. The uploader gave better pictures, but had no opportunity to remove worst one?! Is this good policy, really?! --Bonnifac (talk) 14:45, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete According to Removal at the request recommendation --Bonnifac (talk) 14:45, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete Keeping bad quality photos when good quality ones are available does not help the project. --Tchoř (talk) 16:26, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete. We have three other images of the subject, and the subject himself seems to request removal. So, I'm going to delete this one. --Túrelio (talk) 19:38, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Deleted because 1) depicted person and author asked for, 2) image is unused now (as opposed to the time of first rfd) and can easily be substituted, and 3) image is really of poor quality. --Túrelio (talk) 19:45, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
