Can you explain better what problem you believe there is? -- Asclepias (talk) 08:14, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The folks on enwiki aren't sure that this is PD in its country of origin (France). See en:French_copyright_law#Duration_of_proprietary_rights. There is a complex situation regarding the World Wars and copyright terms of musical works. This, that and the other (talk) 07:29, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Debussy's works are certainly in the public domain. (I'm not sure if it would be since c. 1984 or since c. 2004, but not later than that anyway: 1918 + 1 + 50 + 15 = 1984, which was before the 1985 law, or, at worse, 1918 + 1 + 70 +15 = 2004. I know that is only an approximative calculation, and someone may want to do the calculation with more precision, but the point is that the works are without doubt in the public domain now.) -- Asclepias (talk) 14:52, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Withdrawn. I am satisfied that this is PD in France. Thank you to Asclepias. This, that and the other (talk) 07:44, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
