No FoP for "graphic works" in Australia A1Cafel (talk) 02:25, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- Keep: You already tried a year ago to have Australian murals deleted and, in the end, the images were undeleted. See discussion at Commons:Undeletion requests/Archive/2019-12#File:Wyalkatchem recycling centre mural.jpg. I don't see what would have changed since. Calistemon (talk) 08:04, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- Strong keep - the user has misunderstood Australian copyright law, which allows for freedom of panorama for works of "artistic craftsmanship" (See (s65 Copyright Act 1968) and the definition of "artistic work" in s10 which can include paintings. This is an artistic mural that falls in that category and does not infringe Australian copyright law. Deus et lex (talk) 09:15, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- Please see Commons:Undeletion requests/Archive/2020-10#File:ACDC Lane Face in_ window.JPG for the criteria of Australian FOP. --A1Cafel (talk) 14:07, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- Keep This is an artistic craftsmanship, so {{FOP-Australia}} really applies. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 01:39, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- Murals or paintings can't be qualified as a work of craftsmanship, as they don't have functional restraints on the artistic expression (per a High Court of Australia case). Please see Commons talk:Copyright rules by territory/Australia#Reference to UK FoP rules for further discussion. --A1Cafel (talk) 04:37, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
- Comment - that discussion does not establish a consensus and does not override the clear words of the Australian Copyright Act. This image should not be deleted unless there is a clear policy against it, which there is not. You need to stay out of this debate because you are applying some rule you think that is correct which is not. Deus et lex (talk) 11:58, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
