The pronunciation in this file is incorrect, and was possible made by a non-native speaker. It is misleading to have this used on Wikipedia. — Hugh (talk) 03:35, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: no valid reason for deletion. --Wdwd (talk) 11:20, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This file is extremely misleasing -- is it not the actual Maori pronunciation and they didn't even try to say it correctly. The previous discussion was closed with only one person saying "Keep" and that Commons does not delete files that are in use on Wikimedia projects just because someone disagrees with them (???). This file should not be used on Wikipedia and should be replaced with a Maori pronounciation or deleted completely. Any New Zealander knows that this pronunciation is incorrect and this is blatantly offensive to Maori as this is displayed as the actual pronunciation. •  Keep In use. You're welcome to add {{Factual accuracy}}, but Commons does not delete files that are in use on Wikimedia projects just because someone disagrees with them. No, nothing has changed; we're not going to go around deleting files because someone disagrees with them.--Prosfilaes (talk) 22:50, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • What are you talking about? This is not a "disagreement" -- the file is objectively not how "Aotearoa" is pronounced. I'm not just saying "hurr durr I don't like this" -- the file is actually the wrong pronunciation and is frankly offensive. The file is very misleading and should at least be removed from the Aotearoa article. Nixinova (talk) 23:50, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome to edit Wikipedia if you want. That's not a Commons issue.
I see no reason to doubt the claim of the uploader that he is a New Zealander and that this is how he pronounces Aotearoa. Everyone claims objective fact, and Commons refuses to get in these arguments. This is not the Maori pronunciation; this is the English pronunciation (cf. the "en" at the start of the file name).--Prosfilaes (talk) 00:42, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This is not the "English pronunciation" -- this is the "butchered pronunciation". Articles are also displaying this as the actual pronunciation, which it is not. Nixinova (talk) 04:49, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. The file is used in multiple projects and is ineligible for deletion on any other reason than copyright violation. I do not see here copyright problems. Taivo (talk) 10:49, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: in use. If really so bad, then first create a new file and replace every instance of it. P 1 9 9   17:29, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
