This file was initially tagged by Elisfkc as Unfree Flickr file (Unfree Flickr file) and the most recent rationale was: Unfree Martinevans123 (talk) 19:55, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- The license used is "Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.0 Generic (CC BY-NC-SA 2.0)". The description says this:
- "You are free to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material"
- What am I missing? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:55, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Martinevans123: The non-commercial part that makes it not compatible for Commons. See Commons:Licensing#Well-known_licenses --Elisfkc (talk) 20:02, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- Commons is a "commercial" enterprise?? I must have misinterpreted what was meant by "copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format". Please could you advise which licence(s) the Flickr user would need to use for this image to be available for upload Commons? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 20:07, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Martinevans123: Commons is not itself a commercial enterprise, but it is the policy of Commons to only accept files that are available for commercial use, so that they can be used anywhere. See Commons:Flickr files for licenses for Flickr files. --Elisfkc (talk) 00:40, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
