I'm pretty sure URAA got restored due to it falling out of copyright in 1997, so this is copyrighted in the US. Sennecaster (talk) 02:45, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What? Can I have a translation please? Oxyman (talk) 03:23, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Oxyman Generally, if a work was copyrighted in its source country on 1 January 1996, then it is also copyrighted in the US – even if the source country’s copyright has since expired. See Commons:URAA-restored copyrights.
Files on Commons must be public domain or freely licensed in both the source country and the US. Brianjd (talk) 15:14, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
UK gov't said in a response to an enquiry that crown copyright's expiration extends worldwide and the works can be used freely in any country, so this is fine as even if there was any copyright or restoration there is no issue in this case. See all the UKGov templates. D. Benjamin Miller (talk) 00:34, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If that's the case, then I stand corrected; however, the guidance is incredibly confusing, and COM:UK probably needs a wording change in that case--I'll probably get around to an attempt in the next 12 months :P Sennecaster (talk) 22:51, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: no valid reason for deletion. --Yann (talk) 22:09, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
