Original research of a LTA vandal. Kun Kipcsak (talk) 17:54, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion, given the content of the image, the classification as "Original research of a LTA vandal" seems to be excessive, but Bolohoveni land from A.V. Boldur description.PNG is not necessary, as long as we have Bolohoveni wall in Bucovina according to A.V. Boldur [1]]. --Trecătorul răcit (talk) 09:06, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe that removal based on the "LTA vandalism" claim is valid as there is no provided proof or premise of an abuse through the addition of the image given the context 2A02:2F09:E308:6300:1429:EA06:1AEF:B33F 17:44, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: Per nomination and the qualified opinion of User:Trecătorul răcit. "Original research of a LTA vandal" is clearly a good reason, since there are no indications concerning the sources used in this work (NASA data for a historical map?). --Pafsanias (talk) 12:30, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: There are many historical maps in Commons that use NASA backgounds, as this [2]. That's not a problem (unless we want it to be one). I don't know if Eurocentral, S.I.Cepleanu and Julieta39 (creator and modifiers of the map) are intentionally "LTA vandals" (what for?) and if the "original research" are their or Boldur's guilt (Boldur... and the other romanian historians of the period). This is not the problem either; the problem is that this map is questionable. So we have to delete it. If we apply this same reasoning to the Romanian article Tara Onutului ("Onut country"), it must be renamed Tinutul Onutului ("Onut land" or "county") and be clear that this is only a supposition by Romanian historians, based on the dedication of a single icon. --Trecătorul răcit (talk) 15:15, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: Per COM:NPOV, a map which is in use cannot be deleted for being "incorrect". --King of ♥ 04:37, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
