{{PD-Iran}} 30 year copyright covers only photographs. For non-photographic works one needs to know the year of death of the author. There is a OTRS ticket related to this image but covers only the scanning process. Jarekt (talk) 13:05, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The author of this program book cover is unknown. If there would be anyone to have any information about the author of this art work which was created in 1975, it would be the foundation of Les Ballets Persans, the successor company of the Iranian National Ballet Company, dissolved in 1979. Les Ballets Persans confirms that 1) even if the author would be alive, he or she could not have any claim on this art work because the copyright would belong to the Iranian National Ballet Company and not to any individual, and 2) the foundation of Les Ballets Persans has declared its consent for publication of this work both as the source and as the only possible and thinkable copyright holder of the work. Deleted: There's too much uncertainty here. First is the question of whether the work was actually a work for hire (which requires a written agreement, uncommon in those times). Second is the question of just how Les Ballet Persans is the "successor" to the Iranian National Ballet Company. For the former to own the copyright, it would have to be the legal successor, but if the latter were actually dissolved, as it says here, then it is much more likely that this is an orpahn copyright. .     Jim . . . .
