Commons:Deletion requests/File:Banat, flag (proposed).png
This file was initially tagged by Silenzio76 as Speedy (speedy delete) and the most recent rationale was: original research. Banat does not have a flag, and this represents ones proposals. Nothing more. Yann (talk) 14:00, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
This is a proposed flag. Based in the union of all reasonable former proposals.
Neighter has Transylvania any flag, nore did it ever had under the Habsburg administration. It only had a Coat of arms. Yet on the Wikipedia page about Transylvania, in Romanian, English and German we can see a flag, and it is NOT mentioned as proposed ore unofficial. It is simply described as a Flag, althaw in reality it is NOT. Further more and even WORSE, it is actually the former flag of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, with NOTHING to do what so ever with Transylvania. PetrusdictusA
- Detele: Thank you Yann, for creating a proper request for deletion. The file represents an original research. There are not existing sources to discuss about this proposal, and we do not know where is coming from? Imagine that a large amount of people will start to make proposals like this one, and start to populate the Wikipedia's articles with such representations, as proposals. This is what PetrusdictusA did: wp.ro, wp.en, wp.de, wp.gl. This is misinformation. On some Wikipedias, like wp.ro and wp.gl he started to add references which are not discussing about this proposal, but are stating the fact that in the City of Timişoara, the centre of Banat, have started some discussions about creating a regional flag.--Silenzio76 (talk) 00:17, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
- Additional comment: I do not know whom PetrusdictusA represents, but on his talk page on wp.ro is talking about our flag, mentioning that this proposals is better than others as it has an historical origin (???). It is obvious to me that is using Wikimedia's platforms to promote an idea. --Silenzio76 (talk) 00:28, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
Deleted: Original research is permitted on Commons, but personal art is not. This is unused personal art. . Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 10:44, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
