is this logo old enough to be out of copyright?
according to https://steigerlegal.ch/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/intellectual-property-and-the-internet_2014_extract-switzerland.pdf , swiss TOO might be low. this logo is probably copyrighted. RZuo (talk) 08:29, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@RZuo: according to the PDF you linked, "Swiss courts have been very reluctant to grant copyright, design or any other legal protection to typefaces." Why wouldn't that cover this? - Jmabel ! talk 15:20, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
i didnt see that sentence. i only saw the parts "Originality is used as a threshold for copyright protection with the statistical uniqueness of a work often used as a practical test." and "In practice, the threshold is low with higher requirements only for certain categories of works.".
we need more references to understand swiss law on this.
otherwise, i tend to think that this logo, not just simple letters but with those stripes of varying widths over the letters, might be over TOO. RZuo (talk) 15:29, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
