- Comment: Book was published in 1986 so it is copyrighted, and per a note, the copyright holders are legal heirs of en:Sheikh Abdullah - but I suppose the single cover-page could be below the COM:TOO (and in PD) because it doesn't have any creative art in it: just text and fonts: which include the name of the book, author, and the publisher. Yann, could you share any insights here? Regards, Aafi (talk)
- I don't know the language, or even the script, so I can't say if this is complex enough to have a copyright. Yann (talk) 18:05, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- In that case, I would seek an opinion from @Ratekreel. Regards, Aafi (talk) 13:31, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: This is a photograph of the title and copyright pages, containing only factual information (author, publisher, date of publication, price, title of the book, and copyright notice) in a simple font, which does not meet the requirements for originality under Indian law. However, the law grants protection to literary works as a whole, and this seems to be an odd case. There are some files in category, English-language title pages, which use {{PD-ineligible}}, such as Encyclopaedia Aethiopica vol 3 2007 title.jpg. If this is the convention, I think this file should be fine, but otherwise, I'm not aware of any consensus on how to deal with cases such as this. Ratekreel (talk) 19:14, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you @Ratekreel. This is definitely a {{PD-ineligible}} case. I will update the template rightaway. Regards, Aafi (talk) 06:09, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- Keep clear case of {{PD-ineligible}}. Regards, Aafi (talk) 06:12, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
