This photograph was taken by Walter Stoneman who died in 1958. Stoneman was working in partnership with the British National Portrait Gallery but as Stoneman was acting as a private individual and the NPG is not part of the UK government, this photo is not PD-UKGov. - What is the evidence that he was/wasn't acting as a private individual, and/or who he was/wasn't working for? Hohum (talk) 12:56, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
- Additionally, which copyright claim are we supposed to believe and why?

- Walter Stoneman himself - evidence?
- Speedy keep. Already kept, as noted in File talk:Anthony Eden.jpg, per Commons:Deletion requests/File:British Political Personalities 1936-1945 HU49409.jpg, which was the name of the file before its renaming to "File:Anthony Eden.jpg" and its subsequent replacement by the duplicate "File:Anthony Eden (retouched).jpg". Stoneman photos that were found not PD were deleted and Stoneman photos that were found PD-UK were kept, such as the photos of Churchill, Eden and Grigg. No new argument is presented. -- Asclepias (talk) 15:55, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
