This file does not contain proper content like an image, video or sound fragment. It only contains a table, the same way a table would be made in Wikipedia (HTML?). This is not what Commons is for. And this file is not used anywere. JopkeB (talk) 13:21, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
- If you want to upload a table, make it in Excel or any other spreadsheet program, convert it to PDF and then upload it to Commons (and give it proper categories). If you want to make a table in a Wikipedia: just make it there, not in Commons. JopkeB (talk) 13:22, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. This table is transcluded in the description of File:ASA DIN conversion table.jpg. It's an odd way of setting things up, but it works. Omphalographer (talk) 14:35, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
- What is the problem? Is it not possible to make this table directly in the "Transcript" part of File:ASA DIN conversion table.jpg (where it is now)? Why do you need an extra file for it? Because it is indeed odd to have such a file with no content, this is not were Commons files are meant to be for. JopkeB (talk) 14:49, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Omphalographer: Please answer my questions, then we might find another solution or keep it this way. --JopkeB (talk) 08:05, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
- Strong support for deletion, also File talk:ASA DIN conversion table.jpg. I moved the text version into the main File:ASA DIN conversion table.jpg, thus the "subpage" File:ASA DIN conversion table.jpg/transcript is fully redundant. (@User:Omphalographer) Taylor 49 (talk) 15:27, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
- If it's not a regular way of doing it, then I support regularising it; it just seemed uncouth to put a 'replace with wikitext' template on the file and not provide the wikitext, but if it's on the main filepage then it remains available. Arlo James Barnes 16:58, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
Since Taylor 49 moved the text into the main file File:ASA DIN conversion table.jpg (which has to be kept), this file is now redundant and can be deleted. --JopkeB (talk) 05:38, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
