Copyrighted character, Spongebob Squarepants is being shown. I don't find that de minimis. Also, the file is named after the copyrighted character. 1989 16:38, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Keep (I am the photographer and uploader). Photo is part of series showing the destructive aftermath of the Hurricane Katrina levee failure flood on the Lower 9th Ward section of New Orleans. Shows a pile of debris, including peoples shoes and childrens' toys. Reproduction of copyrighted character image is not the purpose of the image. (I found the children's toys gave extra poignancy to the scene; unfortunately now a days most children's toys seem to be copyrighted corporate characters.) If the visible doll is a problem, it can be blurred or pixilated. If the name is a problem, file can be renamed (eg Feb06Low9thDebrisPileShoesAndToys or whatever; I gave file names on the fly by something visible in the photo, otherwise simple letters or numbers for photos). -- Infrogmation (talk) 22:03, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep A simple presence of a possibly copyrighted toy does not make this image a derivative work. Purpose of the image is to show the pile of debris of which this toy is a part of and the toy is not a major part of this image. That's why I denied the obviously wrong speedy deletion tag. --Denniss (talk) 22:31, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  •  KeepThis is a historic photo and we should make every effort to retain it. The doll's face can be blurred and the file name changed; there's nothing here that can't be fixed in an effort to keep the photo. Deleting this is like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. •  Keep The waterlogged stuffie is imho de minimus compared with the pile of soggy trainers, the Rubbermaid tub, the buckets and bins, the bike tire, some kind of nasty drink container and the remainder of the flotsam of the storm here recorded. I totally agree with Denniss and We Hope ! keep Ellin Beltz (talk) 01:01, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: Character is de minimis. Yann (talk) 16:14, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
