Dubious EU licensing tag, no evidence that Gavriil Ya. Komarov died 70 or more years ago. VLu (talk) 03:14, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • First, Gavriil Ya. Komarov was not involved in the creation of this image. The inscription on the cover of the book «ГАВРИИЛ КОМАРОВ» («GAVRIIL KOMAROV») may refer to the fact that Gavriil Komarov edited the text V. Arsenyev (Inside the book “In the Wilds of the Ussuri Region”, the cover of which is this file, the role of Gabriel Komarov is not clarified in any way; but this book is a highly condensed presentation of V. Arseniev's earlier books "Across the Ussuri region" and "Dersu Uzala", and critics expressed doubts that the text was shortened and edited by V. Arseniev personally.). When I uploaded this image, I indicated that the author is unknown. On the website of the State Public Library of Russia: http://elib.shpl.ru/ru/nodes/24625 it is indicated that the author of the drawings in this book is S.I. Yakovlev (С. И. Яковлев). This is probably Сергей Иванович Яковлев (Sergei Ivanovich Yakovlev) (1862−1930, Russia) https://artchive.ru/artists/62905~Sergej_Ivanovich_Jakovlev — That is, the term of copyright under the laws of Russia expired 70 years after the artist's death, counting from the year following the year of his death - the term of copyright expired in 2001. — Радион (talk) 14:41, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • may refer to the fact that Gavriil Komarov edited the text — looks very doubtful. G.Ya.Komarov was a well-known painter at the Far East of Russia: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]. --VLu (talk) 17:19, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
      • And what is known about the dates of birth and death of Gavriil Ya. Komarov? Are you sure he died after 1950? According to your links, it follows that he worked in the 1920s, but are there any later references to him? I found just such a page: https://fantlab.ru/art2066 - the works of G. Komarov from 1974 to 1993 are indicated there, but the full name is not indicated, and the surname Komarov is very common, so it is very likely that this is another G. Komarov , and the Moscow one. — (talk) 05:44, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
