Commons:Deletion requests/Camp Rising Sun (Red Hook, NY)
It is not an article, but only a list of photos, which are all in the category for the summer camp. "Galleries should not be created if they merely duplicate the purpose of a category." Summer Vacation (talk) 15:56, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
Please note the we are not deleting the category or the photos. We are only deleting the pseudo-article, which has no content other than the list of photos. In a few minutes I will add the list of photos to your Wikipedia article. Now, is that cool or what? Summer Vacation (talk) 16:02, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
OK, your photos are now listed in the Wikipedia article, and it does look good. If you go to the Wikipedia article you will notice that it needs some work on the issue of neutrality. Could you edit the article and eliminate opinions or personal views to make the article more objective? This would help clean it up and prevent anyone from deleting the article. - Keep No reason to delete this gallery. --Foroa (talk) 22:55, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
Kept: You obviously not understood the scope of Wikimedia Commons. The gallery contains files and captions, thats what galleries on Commons are for. This is not Wikipedia and not a place for articles but a place for media files wich are organized using categories and galleries and this is done here correctly. Martin H.
