This page serves as coordinating a Stockholm photo walk during Wikimania 2019 (August 14–18). Everybody who's interested in connecting and having fun with other photographers is welcome – you don't need to aim for featured pictures or be a member of this user group if you'd like to join us.

Boatride from Strömkajen to pictureque Vaxholm and Vaxholm Castle

We'll take the historic steamship Storskär from Strömkajen to picturesque Vaxholm. The boat trip takes about 1½ hour and we'll get to see Stockholm from the water plus a bit of the archipelago. In Vaxholm there is a ferry every 15 minutes to the Vaxholm Fortress for those who are interested.

  • Please arrive between 16:15 and 16:30 in order to buy tickets for the ride on the Storskär
  • Meet at Strömkajen (the ferry terminal): Google Maps

From Beckholmen and Djurgårdsstaden via Riddarholmen/Gamla stan towards Södermalm

We'll start in Beckholmen and Djurgårdsstaden (category:Djurgårdsstaden/de:Djurgårdsstaden) and: 1) we'll take the ferry to Skeppsholmen and walk via Gamla stan towards Södermalm; or 2) we'll take the ferry/tram to en:Nybroplan and take the metro from Kungsträdgården metro station to Rådhuset metro station (Two of Stockholm's most spectacular metro stations and walk via Stockholm City Hall and Riddarholmen/Gamla stan towards Södermalm.

  • Please arrive before 6 p.m.
