Discussion
- Can't wait. Would you like to start with a few test uploads? --MichaelMaggs (talk) 18:54, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- No. This is a server side import and i don't have shell access. Multichill (talk) 20:19, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- First batch is going up, would be nice to have a flag to not flood te RC. Multichill (talk) 14:18, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- Is it possible to add categories Fotothek/Location/Date in same way as German Federal Archive? --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:28, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe, but i doubt it, the data is spread of to many different fields. Multichill (talk) 17:23, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

A bot flag was granted by JeLuF (talk · contribs). See the log. The bot just ran on 1st April, and the "edit period(s)" above, it seems like the bot is done for now. --Kanonkas(talk) 11:17, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm... Personally, I'd like to see active 'crats doing this sort of flagging regardless of whether it's technically possible to flag or not. I missed this happening (there's no notice here of the flagging and unflagging, and that's not good)... and then only after a suitable period of discussion, rather than the very day after the request was placed. But I'm not seeing any reason not to markt this as approved anyway. ++Lar: t/c 11:50, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- First 5000 were a test. Next 200.000 will be uploaded soon. Multichill (talk) 17:46, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't intend to offend anyone. We were about to import a batch of 80'000 images and I wanted to make sure that this import runs as unintrusive as possible, especially without flooding of RC and Latest Files. After 5'000 images we stopped the import and it will start again in a few minutes. -- JeLuF (talk) 20:05, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- Let's mark this as approved (unless someone objects??) and move on, then, no long term harm done, and the bot's doing important work. Maybe next time try to grab a crat on IRC or something to get it flagged in a hurry if it's (as it apparently was) urgent... ++Lar: t/c 03:07, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
