Discussion
- Has there been any discussion that such a change shall be made? To be honest I don't get why every file PD-old-100 applies to automatically is affected by PD-old-100-1923. (If it was, we could simply change the template.) How do you detect which file to process? --Krd 08:40, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
- There is currently a discussion at the Commons:Village pump. My bot moves files from the category PD-old-100 to PD-old-100-1923 by simply changing the template. It will also includes changing PD-old-auto to PD-old-auto-1923. Since there are many files at PD-old-100, I think a bot is needed to perform that action. Also I can detect which file to process by making a list of files at PD-old-100, and processing it. I will use AWB (as stated above). ★ Poké95 08:45, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
- Direct link to Village Pump. I do believe Krd is not asking how you'd move the files from category to category, but how you'd identify which files actually need to be moved. Riley Huntley (talk) 08:54, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
- As far as I see it, there is no discussion but only your request. Anyway, again: How do you determine if a file, even if the author is dead for more than 100 years, has been published or registered before 1923? I currently cannot imagine any way to do that automatically or otherwise in some bulk processing way. If there is any, please elaborate. --Krd 08:58, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

- Comment Please add some information to your bot's userpage, redlinks aren't pretty. I also recommend having the talk page redirected to your user talk. Riley Huntley (talk) 08:43, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
- I withdraw my request, after realizing that there may be some files that are not published before 1923. I request a bureaucrat to close this as withdrawn. Thanks, ★ Poké95 09:28, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
Withdrawn. --Krd 10:12, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
