Discussion
- Bot's contributions looks fine for me. However categorization may be controversial topic. Do you discuss related issues in appropriate projects/Village Pump? --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:35, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- Being an administrator on no:wikipedia since 2005, I'm aware of the categorization problematics, it is also an issue in the norwegian WP. Of course I find it advisable to discuss upcoming issues with other users. BjørnN (talk) 17:55, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
- I would rather have you use {{Move}} and wait a couple of days before performing the actual move. This way you give other users a chance to comment. Multichill (talk) 19:41, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
- This bot will normally be used for trivial category creations only, this was always the case in the past. I don't think it makes much sense to start discussions about correcting typing errors, like changing Category:Mountains in Norway to Category:Mountains of Norway, or creating categories like Category:Diagrams of route signs of Taiwan, which was missing, though parallel categories existed for most other countries at that level. I think that if a change is not trivial, then it should not be performed by a bot. BjørnN (talk) 14:31, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with that... and that gives me confidence. Would like to see some test runs though. ++Lar: t/c 22:55, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

category.py -family:commons -lang:commons move -from:Islands_in_Nordland -to:Islands_of_Nordland
- or another typical job with selection (performed 2009-04-29):
category.py -family:commons -lang:commons move -from:Locator_maps_of_Nordland -to:Road_locator_maps_of_Nordland -match:Loc.+?\.svg
- All of the bot`s contributions you'll all find here -- BjørnN (talk) 18:49, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- Everything looks good to me. He knows what he's doing. Rocket000 (talk) 15:22, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- Concur. I think Eugene concurred as well, as he flagged the bot at 14:46, 31 July 2009... I will archive as approved, bot flag granted when I get a chance if no one beats me to it. ++Lar: t/c 06:20, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
