Bot's tasks for which permission is being sought:

  • Migration of Swedish monument identifiers

Back in 2020 the identifiers used by Swedish WLM(Template:Fornminne) was deprecated(phab:T231334) and a new UUID based one is since then recommended. Both are technically supported by the template and other parts of WLM, however now, we are trying to migrate as much as possible to the new identifiers(Wikidata, tooling, etc). This bot request is for replacing the old deprecated identifiers in Template:Fornminne with the new UUID ones.

For example in File:U11 Adelsö Hovgården - KMB - 16000300012717.jpg the id "10000100460001" would be replaced with "c4e94891-ed64-403d-873a-2f0c0dafeece".

Automatic or manually assisted: Automatic

Edit type (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run):

Continuous, the first run will do the heavily lifting but later runs will likely be necessary to a certain extent as other tooling are migrated in parallel.

Maximum edit rate (e.g. edits per minute): PyWikiBot's default(12 per minute)

Bot flag requested: Y

Discussion
Test edits done. I have reviewed these 30 edits at it looks like everything went as intended. Abbe98 (talk) 16:16, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Looks OK for me, but I think will be better to use Wikidata item for that purpose: multiple third-party identifiers may be used as result. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:18, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Where possible the files should already be connected to Wikidata. There are 700k+ monuments in the external database and all of them technically qualifies for WLM but not all has been imported into Wikidata(and in my personal opinion all of them shouldn't be in Wikidata). The intent here is to replace deprecated identifiers on Commons, on Wikidata these will be kept but marked as deprecated. Abbe98 (talk) 16:52, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If there are no objections, I think bot status should be granted. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:30, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
