- Source to upload from:The Noun Project (thenounproject.com)
- Do the media URLs follow a pattern?
- Does the site have an API? Yes, here is the official documentation
- What else could ease uploading? (is the site valid XHTML, do they use a WCM…?)
- Did you contact the site owner? Yes
- Describe the works to be uploaded in detail (audio files, images by …):
As requested by John Cummings on the bot works request page, a bot is needed for batch uploading png or svg icons from TheNounProject. The Noun Project releases most of its icons under CC-BY 4.0 or CC-zero license. The task will be performed by CivBot
When reading about batch uploading, it seemed necessary to create this request to discuss the operation, and getting feedback here. Thanks.
- Which license tag(s) should be applied?
CC-BY-SA 4.0 or CC-Zero in some cases where files are originally under cc-zero license.
- Is there a template that could be used on the file description pages? Do you think a special template should be created?
Yes I have created the {{The Noun Project}} template African Hope (talk) 22:58, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
- Results so far
Nearly 2000 images uploaded so far.
