Sofware and video games captures
.kkrieger
The demo (as in demoscene) and video game en:.kkrieger is now released under BSD license. A video of the integral gameplay (10-30 minutes) would be a nice addition to the articles about this demo. It's also one of the significant example of procedural generation cited in the literature. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dereckson (talk • contribs)

Elevator
- Looking for video footage of an elevator
- I have "Elevator in the Disney Magic", but it's in .MOV form. Amtrakfan4 11:53 AM 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- The request isn't very specific, but File:Elevator descends to ground level.ogg may be of use. Richard001 (talk) 04:29, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Walk through forest
- Looking for some clips of walking through a forest, both during day- and night-time if possible. 13:53, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- @ ping unsigned user: If you're looking for first person videos see Category:First-person videos on foot, I think it may contain such a video at daytime. Also check Category:Videos of forests (doesn't seem to have such videos). --Prototyperspective (talk) 10:42, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
Plays of musical instruments
- Do we have simple clips of certain musical instruments being played, e.g. a gitar or piano or flute being played? It would be great to have those videos and put them in the respective pages of the instruments in Wikipedia to really show how they're played. Sentausa (talk) 13:00, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- @Sentausa: Yes, we have, please use the category search...these files are here: Category:Videos of musical instruments. One could probably use some tool to see all English Wikipedia articles about musical instruments that do not have a video.
Rattlesnake
- I've been working on the Wikipedia article "Rattlesnake" and am trying to find some high-quality, free video that shows a rattlesnake (preferably in a natural, rather than captive, setting) shaking its rattle as a warning. Video of a bite/ingestion, reproduction, or anything else covered in the article would also be very useful. Please contact me on my talk page if you can help with this. -- Jrtayloriv (talk) 06:43, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
Video from archive.org
- I'd like to use https://archive.org/details/Blacksmith in http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Down%27n%27dirty_Blacksmithing , so one solution would be for someone to upload it (with appropriate documentation of the fact that Internet Archive tagged it with the Creative Commons Public Domain dedication). If that's the right way to go about it, perhaps someone could explain to me how I go about doing so. There are other conceivable solutions that might be more efficient (by eliminating replication of files across archives or allowing the content developer (e.g., me) to handle the linkage directly), so if this isn't The Right Way, please point out what that would be. --Wcoole (talk) 20:16, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
More videos from MIT opencourseware and others
I just wanted to request more videos from MIT open courseware and such other related sites. It would be quite helpful. For, me I just wanted to watch some lectures as in agriculture science or any other topics, from which you wish to upload, if there is. Wikipedia and commons are free in my country, Nepal. So, if someone wish to upload such videos, That'd be great. This is not my topic Thanks, if you have read.

NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio videos
I was hoping that at least the arctic thaw between 1984-2019 video be added to wikimedia commons, but perhaps it's possible to just integrate the entire collection of video's from NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio ? This, considering that they are NASA video's so I assume they can just be integrated using the "PD-USGov-NASA" license. Video's from NASA's visualisation studio can be found through the Search function Genetics4good (talk) 16:37, 4 October 2019 (UTC)

Make how to use Wikimedia Commons
Please make a promotional video for Commons or translate File:¿Qué es Wikimedia Commons?.webm to English —Vis M (talk) 23:53, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @Vis M! The English closed captions were added about a month ago [not by me, I just edited the CC file]. I hope you’ll enjoy and use the result in a good way. Have the wonderful week! — Pacha Tchernof (talk) 13:12, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
- Nice. Thank you. It will help translating it to more languages —Vis M (talk) 16:10, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- Agree that would be great and is much needed! Uploading such a video to youtube if brief enough etc could make the site much better known. Only adding subtitles to that great video is not enough. One could redub it, people could use AI voice for that or narrate the subtitles (I'll add it to Category:Commons requests related to video audio for now).
