ShakataGaNai has been one username that has kept popping up for me lately. This user has been active here for some time, and has done excellent work with DRs (where I've noticed them) and tagging speedies (look at deleted contribs). Active in IRC and steadily active on the wiki. ShakataGaNai understands licensing well, and applies it well. For user interaction, see this but also this - looking through it (and from personal experience) they've been helpful and melon with everyone. I think ShakataGaNai would make an excellent addition to the team. – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 23:05, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
- On behalf of all the poor tormented admins that I've been begging to delete stuff for me so I can get work done... I accept. I appreciate the communities faith in me. I make no promises to be perfect, but I really do try. Oh, and if you are going to {{Oppose}} this vote, I'd really appreciate it if you let me know what I can do better (If not on wiki, email works too). --ShakataGaNai Talk 23:10, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

- Support - he seems to have his head screwed on straight. -mattbuck (Talk) 23:06, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
OpposeLooks a bit creepy to me. Probably he is too young. Btw.: An undelete request is no poll. Mutter Erde 23:54, 28 May 2008 (UTC)- Mutter Erde, I would suggest that the community is giving very little weight to this oppose rationale (on multiple RfAs). giggy (:O) 03:47, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- I though the picture should stay away (aka stay deleted). Sorry if that wasn't communicated clearly. I figured the {{Vd}} would do that. Yes, I know an undelete request is not a poll - but that was the only applicable template I know of. But I'll change it if it makes you happy. --ShakataGaNai Talk 00:04, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Changed it to be more intelligible. Also, I' m 24 - so its up to you if that is "too young". --ShakataGaNai Talk 00:06, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

- How many RfAs are you going to oppose over that image? I can email you a copy if that's what you want.. Btw.: A delete request is no poll either. Rocket000 00:19, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- @ ShakataGaNai: accepted. @Rocket000: Yes, please send me a copy, so I or you can give it to all, who were not online on these days. And now a general comment to many young users (and all forthcoming admins): You can't build a house or an encyclopedia on such We-don't-like-it-stuff. Regards Mutter Erde 09:36, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, it's just as well we're not a house or an encyclopedia. When he turns up on Commons:Requests for building permits, I'll be sure to oppose him. Lewis Collard! (hai thar, wut u doin) 18:44, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

- Question For my benefit could you explain why you {{Oppose}} ? --ShakataGaNai Talk 07:31, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Info Nothing personaly. Someone must vote oppose, it's too many support votes :) --Suradnik13 09:00, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, you are right. That was my intention too (after the candidate has clearified his statement). But now you are here, so that I can strike my vote. Looks like a 99,96 % vote. I have seen something like this before. But I can't remember where :-). Regards Mutter Erde 10:09, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ha ha ha, if someone after me vote oppose, i will strike my vote too :))--Suradnik13 12:45, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Awww. I was really hoping for 100% - that would be sooo cool. I'm glad you explained though Suradnik13. I was wondering what I had done offend you, I even over every contrib you made to see if we crossed paths somewhere. That makes more sense. Thanks --ShakataGaNai Talk 17:59, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

- Comment I had never worked with this user until today, when we exchanged notes about Image:Billy Zoom.jpg. ShakataGaNai has twice now nominated the image for deletion. The first time because the flickr license was different than the license posted here. ShakataGaNai removed the OTRS pending template as well. This is important because the user went ahead and nominated the image for deletion again. I uploaded the image in good faith, is it my fault there is an OTRS backlog? I'm concerned about the user’s judgment and willingness to work with others in a cooperative fashion. I am assuming good faith here, otherwise my vote would be "no." Evrik 18:15, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I will admit that my marking it as a copyvio was a mistake. But I've since changed that into an NPD which is correct for this circumstance. You were talking to me on my userpage, and as I just explained [1] - OTRS can't find a ticket for this image. I'm not trying to be difficult here, but if we go by Flickr it is a blatant copyvio and should be deleted this very second. But you say there is OTRS, so I am trying to work with you and get this sorted out (since none can be found). An NPD template only means that in 7 days it might be deleted - and that should be more than enough time to get something figured out. --ShakataGaNai Talk 18:57, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
