I have applied for adminship twice before: 1 (withdrawn), 2 (failed). I am applying again at the suggestion of an administrator by email.
I am fully open about the fact that I occasionally take Wikibreaks, but I believe I should be able to help out while I am actually here. I plan to work on the backlogs, block copyright violators, delete copyright violations, edit protected pages, and rollback edits. I do not plan on performing any controversial blocks until after I have had time to become acquainted with the use of the tools.
I believe I have shown my worth on commons, with >10000 edits, much work on deletion discussions, and the creation of extensive Javascript tools, which I notice other people are already using. I also have >50000 edits between here and on Wikipedia.
I hope and believe I have learned my lessons since my last RfA, in which I recognize I did not demonstrate enough respect for proper copyright law. This is foundational to the nature of Commons. I hope anyone who chooses to oppose me do so on the basis of whether I will make a good admin, not over past grudges or things like the typos I admittedly sometimes make. - Support. I'd like to see Patstuart have some chill pills about their person (& take them). However - all in all - this person is a hard working Commons user who really does get a lot done. I really do not see abuse as likely at all & I think Commons will benefit if this user is granted admin rights. Not perfect for sure but please bear in mind that none of us are! --Herby talk thyme 07:04, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm gonna go out on a limb and go with Herby on this. I wish him the best of luck, and repeat the mantra that if I can do it, anyway can. :) Support, giggy (:O) 08:05, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Neutral. I told you before, that I think that you could be a good admin. However, you seem to be a little bit to eager to become an admin. The last RfA is only two months ago! So I vote neutral. --ALE! ¿…? 08:39, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Support I have seen his work and all my interactions with him have been positive. He knows the licenses and always has been very helpful with spanish-speaking users... He is the kind of user I am always caught unaware thinking he already is an admin.-- Fernando Estel ☆ · 星 commons es 08:48, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

- Support (and I agree with Herby, chill out a bit sometimes :)) Majorly (talk) 11:45, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- weak Support but please do not try to delete those Images in the Unknown categorys first. I do not see your knowledge for doing this... But at all: good luck! abf /talk to me/ 12:33, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Support he's made some mistakes (including going for an RfA two months after a failed one, *poke*...:P), but we're all entitled to have a few of those. He's as clueful as anyone, a generally good thing to have around, and there's no reason to think he'd mis-use or abuse sysop tools. Lewis Collard! (hai thar, wut u doin) 15:04, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose Sorry, I was just on the point of being tipped over to support when I saw this edit made to Ltljltlj's nomination for Admin status, below. It concerns me that Patstuart's default mode is still too often unnecessarily combative, and lacking in mellowness. --MichaelMaggs 16:33, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

- Support The time has come, I think. With the high level of activity and areas he works in, it only makes sense he's eager to become an admin. I don't hold that against him. He has more than enough experience and will make great use of the tools. He does need to mellow out sometimes, but I think he can if he tries. Rocket000 07:29, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

- Support knows what to do, etc. etc. I do recommend going slow on copyright and user conduct issues in the beginning, though. 哦,是吗?(висчвын) 02:33, 02 May 2008 (GMT)

- Comment any closing 'crat probably should look at the talk page & try and establish what is going on - thanks --Herby talk thyme 10:51, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Looks like a valid withdrawal to me. If not rescinded by the close time, I'd say it's in force. In fact I think we may have passed the close time already, and this is closable. ++Lar: t/c 10:27, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yep. That was his last edit, 19:28, 3 May 2008. Time to close I guess. :( Rocket000 15:22, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
I'm not happy with this but I do see this one as withdrawn given that the user appears not to have been on line since the comment on the talk page. Given that no "evaluation" of voting is required I will close this myself. --Herby talk thyme 15:26, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
