While existence of this category (Category:Russian Orthodox churches in Russia) is theoretically very justified, is it practically useful? Since easily 90%+ of churches in Russia are Russian Orthodox ones, if we want this category to include all relevant images, it will have to nearly duplicate the already existing Category:Churches in Russia. The latter category is quite huge, with an elaborate hierarchy of geographic subcategories. If Category:Russian Orthodox churches in Russia is to be comprehensive, one would have to create for it a parallel hierarchy of subdirectories, and to maintain it, as every new image (or a new category for an individual church building) would have to be entered into 2 category trees. Is this effort worth the benefit of "denominational purity"? Vmenkov 00:41, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

--Mogelzahn 13:45, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
