I don't agree with Foroa's renaming proposal. I understand "Restaurant" is necessary, but not the village. There's no need to disambiguate with any other restaurants sharing its name. Moreover, this category is here and here, and we don't have plenty of restaurants named Sant Antoni neither in Catalonia nor -being more specific- in Premià de Dalt. As far as I know there's only one in Ribes de Freser and another in Manresa, an none of their articles has been created yet -and it's not very likely to happen... --Judesba (talk) 10:27, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- Google "Sant Antoni restaurant" and you will find a few thousands of them (not to mention the Sant antonio, anthony, ... variations). Eventually, some of them will arrive here. --Foroa (talk) 10:35, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- You must be kidding, right? 'Cause it's completely surrealistic. It is the only restaurant in Commons (in the same territory context) that has the suggestion of adding the name of the village where it's placed in. Check the categories I've told you about: this one and this one, and then tell me if you see any more Restaurants Sant Antoni there. You can even widen your search in the Iberian Peninsula; then if you find more articles sharing the name- Moreover, tell me how many Restaurants Sant Antoni (without any name variation at all) you find in the whole world. Google this [1]; if you discard name variations you will only find the ones I've told you about: [2]. Anyway, who's looking for "Restaurant Sant Antoni" in Google and afterwards in Commons? If you look for it in Commons you will find exactly the Restaurant you are searching for: this one; if not, people will look for San Antonio, Saint Antoine, Saint Anthony or whatever. Again: there's no point in adding the village name to the category name. --Judesba (talk) 15:43, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- Please don't scatter this discussion over several places. From your contributions, I have the impression that you have a single purpose account to bring the restaurant in the footlight, which I understand. You did a good job in the sense that on google, you overwhelm all other San Antoni restaurants, which makes it hard to find the smaller ones.
- Your google searches confirm that there are indeed several other Sant Antoni restaurants, mainly in Spain and Ibiza. On Commons, we have 500000 new categories per year, so we cannot assume that there are no other "saint xxx" restaurants that are going to pop up. Because there are millions of "saint xxx" restaurants/hotels/cafés , the safest is to disambiguate them always with the place. A lot of material is assembled here for future articles, so the fact that an item is already in a wikipedia is not really relevant. --Foroa (talk) 16:45, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
