Oppose Poti is a simple word that might have meanings in other languages such as in ca:Poti. needs further investigation. --Foroa (talk) 16:34, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the Latin speling in all wikipedias give Poti. only 2 of 20 gives (ca and tr) the name with country name. The oppose is not in place but I hate to just argue.

Disambiguation can only be dropped if there is no confusion possible in no single country. See Special:Search/intitle:Category:Poti and Category:Poti River: Poti is a much used word in several languages in the area. Better safe than sorry. I hate to keep moving categories. --Foroa (talk) 18:51, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yet when they write Poti in one of the wikipedias above you get the city Poti. I also checked Special:Search/intitle:Category:Poti and find all the sub-categoties of Poti. Only Category:Tom Poti in not connected. About River Poti category. It's a category you creat just to clarify your point. there is no article about that river. Just see that the word Poti Portuguese wikipedia gives also the Georgian city. see also de.wikipedia de:Poti (Begriffsklärung) and the name of the city.
