Indochinese leopards and tigers in Northeast India

[edit]

The Brahmaputra River serves as a barrier between the Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) and Indian leopard (Panthera pardus fusca) on one hand, and the Indochinese tiger (Panthera tigris tigris, formerly Panthera tigris corbetti) and Indochinese leopard (Panthera pardus delacouri) on the other hand. To the east of the river would be the ranges of the Indochinese leopard and tiger. To the west would be the ranges of the Bengal tiger and Indian leopard.
