- Its purpose is to uncrowd 'historical photographs'. And it is not supposed to be a final category but rather a navigational access to 'decades' categories (i.e. Category:1990s photographs of Louisiana) which in turn could contain yearly categories when the number of photographs gets huge in these as well. - Olybrius (talk) 18:11, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
