British English: Royal Air Force (RAF) Vickers VC10 C1K, manufacturers serial number 828; built 1966-06-09, delivered to RAF 1966-07-07. Primarily based at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, operated by No. 10 Squadron and No. 101 Squadron until the VC10 fleet retirement in late 2013. Due oddities of some viewing angles of its military aircraft registration XR808, it was given an unofficial nickname 'BOB'. Its final RAF flight was to Bruntingthorpe Airfield on 2013-07-30 for temporary storage prior to disposal by scrapping; however, BOB was saved from scrapping and donated to the Royal Air Force Museum. It was transported by road to Shropshire on 2015-06-21, and is now displayed at RAF Museum Cosford.
