English: The Wright R-975 was a radial aircraft engine.
The most numerous production version of it though was built as a fan-cooled tank engine, built under licence by Continental Motors. After the war, a development of this version was also produced by Wright as the R9-A helicopter engine.
Early versions of this engine may be known as the Wright J-6-9. (Note that "Wright J-6" with no suffix is ambiguous: it refers to the entire family of R-975 9-cylinder, R-760 7-cylinder, and R-540 5-cylinder engines.)Media in category "Wright R-975"
