Wolfgang Menge (1924–2012) was an influential screenwriter, journalist, co-founder and host of "3 nach 9", which is the longest-serving chat-show in German television. He won various awards including:
- 1966: “Jakob-Kaiser-Preis” for the drama “Begründung eines Urteils” as best television broadcast. IMDb
- 1973: “Fernsehfilmpreis der Deutschen Akademie der Darstellenden Künste” for the screenplay of “Smog”. IMDb
- 1991: “Fernsehfilmpreis der Deutschen Akademie der Darstellenden Künste” for the screenplay of “Ende der Unschuld”. IMDb
- 1998: “Schillerpreis der Stadt Mannheim”
- 2002: “Deutscher Fernsehpreis” (German Television Award), “Ehrenpreis der Stifter” (founders' honorary award).
