General Sir William Henry Birkbeck (April 8, 1863 - 1929) was the director of remounts at British Army Headquarters from 1912 to 1920.

He was born on April 8, 1863 in Settle, North Yorkshire in England to Joseph Birkbeck and Mary Elizabeth Mackesy. He was the director of remounts at British Army Headquarters from 1912 to 1920. He died while hiking in a fall near Dinard in France in 1929.
