English: The site of Washington's Town House is located at 508 Cameron Street between North Pitt and North St. Asaph Streets in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. Washington purchased the lot in 1763, and the house built on it was completed in 1769. Washington maintained an office there with a secretary. The house was torn down in 1855. A replica was built on the site in 1960 by Gov. and Mrs. Richard Barrett Lowe, using in part bricks and stones from the excavation.
