English: The Walloon orphanage (Dutch: Walenweeshuis, French: Hospice wallon), was a charitable institution founded in Amsterdam in 1630 by protestants Walloon refugees. In 1671 a new building was opened at the Vijzelgracht. This building is now used by French consulate and the Institut français des Pays-Bas [1]
