Villard private mansion in Nîmes

This private mansion, located at 5, Street Dorée, in Nimes, belonged to the Villard family from the sixteenth to the end of the eighteenth century. In 1649, André Villard, lawyer and adviser to the king, enlarged it and gave it its current appearance. It has a very beautiful suspended staircase, completely open on the courtyard and resting only on one side, as well as a wrought iron hand-rail, having justified its registration as a Historical Monument.

This building is inscrit au titre des monuments historiques de la France. It is indexed in the base Mérimée, a database of architectural heritage maintained by the French Ministry of Culture, under the reference PA00103106
