The range lies in the corridor of the en:Sevier River as it flows north, then northwesterly. (The Sevier River exits the mountains and valleys, just northwest and west, between the en:Canyon Mountains and en:Gilson Mountains, and enters the northeast en:Sevier Desert region.)
