There are numerous Squares in the Historic Center of Quito, the best-preserved, least altered historic center in Latin America. In Spanish, (El Centro Histórico de Quito) was constructed on what was once a 16th century Inca city at 2,850 meters above sea level in the Andes Mountains near the Equator.


A place of significance listed by UNESCO United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site.

Around 790 acres and over 130 monumental buildings & 8,000 smaller properties, The Colonial Center of Quito has numerous Churches and Convents.
